The Austin-Oita Sister City Committee (AOSCC) is a non-profit, volunteer organization that seeks to promote and heighten public interest in and appreciation of the culture, people, languages, business, and products of the City of Austin, Texas and Oita, Japan.
Plans for the current year and the next include official goodwill delegations, continued business to business forums, goodwill scholarships for high school student exchanges, and nationally recognized sponsorships of wheelchair athletes competing in the worlds largest wheelchair marathon in Oita.
The target populations served by our program are private citizens, municipal officials, business leaders, students, and educators. |
